10 years later…

Wow! We started this blog in 2008 as a way to keep our families apprised of our escapades when we moved to Amsterdam. We documented many of our adventures but stopped right before Caeden was born. I guess we were too busy! It’s a shame as we carted him to 21 countries in his first two years and have many treasured memories from that time. When Burke came along in 2013, we pretty much stayed home! Sorry kid!

But here we are, embarking on a new journey!  Having traveled extensively prior to now, we think have a reasonably good idea of what we are getting into. We’ll have the opportunity to spend a long periods of focused time together. We’ll get to see the world through the boys’ eyes and hopefully expand their horizons for the rest of their life.

As you read these adventures, anecdotes and minor epiphanies that you will have traveled with us during our sabbatical.
Check out the updated "About Us" and "FAQ" links for more details about the 6-month adventure.

Congratulations! When I was a little girl my parents took us on the road full-time. It was the best classroom ever. I'm so happy when I see families doing this. It is such a gift of education, expansion, and meaningful fulfillment. So little is needed for happiness. One just has to figure out what those little things are. I look forward to watching your journey! XO
